The Program includes:
Sharing the Vision
An intensive leadership training seminar on the role of the Principal in
defining and articulating a school vision.
Dynamics of Change
An analysis of the psychological foundations of organizational change
and resistance to change.
Models of supervision, professional development, and planning that foster
an atmosphere of collaboration and cooperation.
A study of models for organizational decision making and their application
within the framework of the Jewish day school.
Strategies for learning disabled students, gifted students, and
heterogeneous classrooms including multiple intelligence, complex
instruction, and alternative assessment.
Curricular and Technological Innovations
A selection of workshops featuring innovative curriculum materials and
methodologies for Jewish education.
A journey in the footsteps of great leaders in Jewish history.
The Summer Seminar initiates participants into the ongoing professional
development process provided by the Principals' Seminar Programs. After
completing this two-week course on the fundamentals of Jewish school
leadership, participants are entitled to take part in extensive follow-up
programming that includes:

The Mid-Winter Regional Conference
The Advanced Summer Institute
Regional Association Networking Programs
Accommodations: Participants stay in four and five star hotels in Ramat
Gan and Jerusalem.
Cost: $2500 US includes tuition, all instructional material, room and
board, and educational tours (price does not include $250 registration fee
and air fare). Furthermore, the fee includes membership in the Center for
School Leadership. Fellowships are available for select applicants who
apply by February 15, 2002.
