ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate day-to-day smooth functioning of the 200 student Elementary School (Grades 1-5)
Work collaboratively with the school-wide leadership team and other educators to provide a balanced and comprehensive education
Foster an atmosphere of personal and professional growth, excellence, and creativity
Assist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orienting, and supervising faculty
Help to set and monitor the school’s expectations for academic achievement and social-emotional development
Communicate & work with students, learning specialists, external providers and parents to ensure a differentiated and thoughtful education for a variety of learners & actively work to retain students by forming ongoing relationships with parents and students.

-High School Dean of Students, The Hebrew Academy of Nassau County (HANC) High School

The Hebrew Academy of Nassau County High School is seeking a dynamic educator to serve as Dean of Students, working with a population of approximately 300 students. The Dean of Students is a member of the administrative team and is responsible for all issues relating to the well-being of the students during their attendance at the school.

General Responsibilities:
· Create and maintain student behavior expectations
· Maintain student discipline and follow-through with correspondence record keeping relating to discipline.
· To counsel students when necessary, working closely with the counseling department

The Hebrew Academy of Nassau County High School seeks a passionate and energetic Assistant Director of College Guidance to work with an upper school population of approximately 300 students in grades nine through twelve. The Assistant Director of College Guidance will work with the Director of College Guidance to lead the college search and application process and inspire students to seek a "best fit" college. We are looking to fill this position immediately.

General Job Description
-Serve as a general resource for students and parents regarding admission criteria and college data.
-Establish and maintain a strong relationship with college admission directors and officers
-Understand the college admission process at a variety of institution types and selectivity levels
-Work effectively one-on-one with students
-Assemble, proofread, and send all college applications including all secondary school reports
-Write school recommendations for members of the senior class
-Educate students on appropriate interviewing techniques
-Guide students and others in understanding and using Naviance, the college admission data management system

Qualifications

- Maintenance Supervisor for High School, Magen David Yeshivah, Brooklyn

Established in 1946, Magen David Yeshivah is a private co-ed Jewish day school that has since produced countless successful industry professionals, lawyers, physicians, rabbis, and teachers, as well as prominent leaders at the helm of numerous organizations. We are looking for a qualified daytime maintenance supervisor to join our dedicated team who will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repairs of the High School. The expected shift hours are Monday – Thursday 8:00 – 4:30 pm and Friday 8:00 – 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities:
-Reports to Director of Operations.
-Supervise operations and maintenance services with in-house and/or vendor personnel.
-Respond to all maintenance service calls as reported and assigned; maintain daily electronic work order system, log and inspection sheets.
-Supervises the activities revolving around general maintenance and housekeeping (mopping, floor stripping and waxing, vacuuming, painting, clearing snow from entrances, shipping and receiving of packages, use of equipment)
-Supervises minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs
-Supervises the setting up and tears down of chairs, tables and equipment in meeting rooms, and function rooms.
-Maintain accurate inventory of janitorial supplies and equipment.
-Cover daily responsibilities for any vacancies/absences within the maintenance department.
-Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications:
-Must have a minimum of two to three years previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor.
-The skills and knowledge required would generally be obtained with previous experience of maintenance and cleaning products.
-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions.
-Ability to relate to officials, staff, and public in a courteous manner.
-Must be in sufficient physical condition, good attendance and professional appearance.
-Ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 15 to 25 pounds, work in confined spaces, and climb several flights of stairs.
-Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
